Debbie Adams says Irene Jent is better and out of rehab, and back with Debbie and Buck in Indiana.

Jean Hampton and Jama Frazier enjoyed dinner out with Vicki and Lara Walters. They came up from London Saturday to visit Joanne Walters, Jean and Jama.

This past weekend was Dixon Memorial Church time. Just a small crowd attended, but it was a good day.

We had dinner after church at Don and Coreen’s to celebrate their recent anniversary. Bob and I, Jerry, Bonita and Liberty, Keitzi “K.P”, Lana, Amber, Luke, Derrick and Isaia, all enjoyed being there for the good “grub.”

Gwen Fields recently had her daughter, Cheryl, visiting for a few days. Other than locking themselves out of the house, they had a good visit, and Gwen went to the hospital and had new batteries put in her pacemaker while Cheryl was here.

Sunrise services will be held Easter Sunday at the Burton Hill, Isom and Hampton cemeteries here in Letcher County, and the Government Cemetery in Knott County. All beginning at 7 a.m.

The UK ballgames are the talk of the area, and so far so good for them.

There will be a benefit action for Keith and Diane Adams, who lost their home in a mudslide April 4 at Blackey Community Center. For more information, call Berma Matthews, 633-7874.
