Happy Easter to all on April 4.
Well, there’s a new addition to our family. Erica Demery, daughter of Pam Fields and the great-granddaughter of Archie and Margaret Fields, had her second child, a boy, DeAundre Jeff erson. He weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces and was born March 25. They live in California. My granddaughter sent pictures to my cell phone. He is adorable. He has a brother, Courtland Gales.
Jim BoIson turned “39” on March 23. He is the son of Patricia Ison and the late Bob Ison. Hope you enjoyed it.
Brack Sexton will be “63” on March 30. Happy birthday from your daughter Melinda.
Dr. Wilson of North Carolina, formerly of Cowan, messed up his hand on a table saw. Hopefully it will heal soon. He is in his 90s but gets around real well.
Harry Simms of Danville has been in the hospital having problems with his heart. He is married to Georgette (Day) Simms. We wish him a speedy recovery.
Tim Dobson of Columbus, Ind., has been in the hospital with a lot of different things going on with him. Wish him well. He is the son of Audrey (Maggard) Hammonds and Charles Hammonds and the late Gene Ray “Roy” Dobson.
Also, keep Anna Lou (Maggard) Combs in your prayers. Also on the prayer list this week: Mary Lou Fields, Cowan; Irene and Eugene Day, Cowan; Bill and Agnes Maggard, Indiana; Audrey and Charles Hammonds, Indiana; and Lou Anna (Fields) Ingram, a hospital in Indiana.
Also all my friends, neighbors and relatives; all those enslaved in drugs and alcohol; and all the people that are lost and haven’t accepted God as their person Savior.
Arthur Miles of Corbin is having health problems. Also keep him in your prayers. He is formerly of Cowan and is the brother of Charlie Miles and Tootsie (Miles) Ratliff of Cowan.
We finally went over to Abingdon, Va., Saturday. It was a nice day for a ride but not much as far as flea markets go. Maybe some other time.
I was sorry to hear about Madge Combs dying. Our sympathy goes out to her family and friends.
Hope everyone has a swell spring and summer.
Until next time, be good to one another. Let your light shine in this world. The end of March turned out better than the beginning.
