We were so glad to see Joe and Doris Bentley this week. Joe looks good and hasn’t lost his sense of humor. He still pulls pranks on Debbie Slone. We look forward to them being here full time soon. Ermine Center
I had a call from Mrs. Otho Holcomb from Elyria, Ohio. She gets The Mountain Eagle and had seen Jack Stallard’s name on our prayer list. He is her husband’s first cousin, and she wanted to know how to get in touch with him at Cardinal Hill. She also asked about Joe Bentley, who is her husband’s uncle.
Betty Pike had a birthday and wasn’t going to tell it. Jack Stallard called the center and had us sing “Happy Birthday” while he listened on the telephone.
A group of us went to Pikeville shopping Friday. We had breakfast at Bob Evans. We enjoy eating more than shopping. We had a good day and some people napped on the way home. We bought a lot of good stuff. Andrew Sexton bought himself a coffeepot.
Several of us ate at the Shriners’ fish fry Friday evening. They serve a really good meal for a reasonable price. Shirley Day’s hushpuppies are awesome!
Come visit us at the Ermine Center. Judith Vermillion says, “Come three times and you are hooked.” Lots of nice people here and good food.
Prayer list: Ruby Caudill, Martha Harris, Jack Stallard, Joe and Doris Bentley, Sue Sexton, Clark Baker, and Patty Majority. Lorraine Kuracka had a knee replaced so pray for her. She is doing well.
Thought from Daily Bread: “ Every good gift comes from the Father.”
