Joe Henry Morris, 79, died October 22 at his home at Mayking.
Born at Mayking, he was a son of the late Alfred and Ogie Craft Morris. He was the widower of Janice Necessary Morris and later married Kathy Bates Morris.
Mr. Morris was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Caleb Hopkins and William Hayden Joseph, and three brothers, Darrell Ray Morris, Clyde Dale Morris and Venyard Morris.
Surviving are seven daughters, Karen Spangler and husband Larry of Berea, Christine Hopkins and husband Billy of Wise, Va., Pam Banks of Ashland, Latasha Mullins and husband Terry of Jenkins, Patricia Collins and husband Mark of Isom, Tracy Mc- Neely and husband Mark of Mayking, and Regina Anderson of Omaha, Neb.; four sons, Billy Morris and wife Denise of Mayking, Ronnie Morris of Whitesburg, Joe Jr. Morris and wife Belinda of Partridge, and Corbin Joe Joseph and wife Reva of Troy, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Tabitha Adams and husband John of Isom; three brothers, Jim Morris and wife Gaynelle of Lexington, and Glennis Morris and wife Joyce and Charles Morris, all of Mayking; three sisters, Betty Taylor and husband Don of Montcalm, W.Va., Gaynell Polly and husband Ben of South Carolina, and Mary Fugate and husband Phil of Mayking; and several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were held October 26 in Whitesburg. Burial was in the Clyde Craft Cemetery at Mayking.
