Johnsons mark 46th anniversary

My sympathy to the family of Edward ‘Bulldog’ Smith of Carcassonne. He died at the Pikeville hospital on Friday, Sept. 16. He had been ill for about three week. He had surgery then had a stroke and was put on life support. Edward was 64.

My sympathy also to the family of Dwight Frazier of Premium. He died on Friday, Sept. 16. He has been sick for awhile. Dwight was 60.

Helen Engle of Carcassonne had to be taken to Whitesburg Hospital then on to Hazard. They did surgery on her Friday for cancer. Her daughter Marlana Reynolds say she talked to her Saturday and said she was sore but doing okay. I wish her the best.

Happy anniversary to Dena and Roger Couch of Linefork. It was their 31st on Sept. 6. Happy anniversary to Joan and Bill Johnson of Woodrock. It was their 46th on Sept. 7. Blackey

Shawn Gilley of Harlan has to have another place on his back removed to make sure it’s not cancer so good luck to him. I hope his tests come out okay. He is the son of Rita and Bruce Gilley of Letcher.

Happy birthday to Elijah Caudill of Blackey. It is on Sept. 19. Jeremy Hayes of Elk Creek has a birthday on Sept. 25, Lyn Bates of Elk Creek on Sept. 21, Doreen Calhoun of Letcher on Sept. 24, and B.J. Adams of Carcassonne on Sept. 25.

Virgil Combs is not doing to well. He is home but his wife Freda said Saturday he was not feeling well at all. I hope he feels better soon.
