Congratulations to my nephew Joshua Dixon. He won the sprint race and his go-cart race at Isom on the weekend of the 12th. He is the son of David and Terry Dixon.

My grandson Kaleb Nathaniel Miller of Carcassonne had to have surgery at Pikeville Hospital on Friday. He had to have some teeth removed. It was outpatient and he is doing well. He is the son of Damian Miller and Jennifer Combs. And Granny is so glad it’s over with. I was more upset then anyone I think, We took him to United Coal’s annual picnic on Saturday and he had a good time. I think he liked the rain the best.

My son Justin and his friends Ethan Brown, Darren Back, Crystal Frazier, Anthony Cornett, Jama Collie, Katylin Bailey, Heather Hatton, Jordan Caudill and a few more friends went to Gatlinburg, Tenn., on Friday and rented a cabin. They went for Rod Run and came back on Sunday evening.

Michelle and Jai Miller had a shower at the Blackey Senior Citizens building. They are expecting their second and it’s a boy. They have a precious baby girl, Kylie.

Wanda Maggard of Letcher is back in the hospital in Hazard. Her son, Jeremy said she was in Whitesburg ARH two times for about three days. She has swelling in her foot. Hopefully thay can find out the problem soon. I wish her the best.
