Saturday, September 11, the Letcher County Central Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps ( JROTC) joined in the Neon Days Celebration.

Everyone was excited to see the Neon Days return and the parade committee did a great job having so many participants and vendors there. The JROTC had the color guard perform with U.S. flag carrier Cadet Hannah Bormes, state flag carrier Cadet Brandi Banks, JROTC flag carrier Cadet Rebecca Bailey and rifles Cadet Hannah Taylor and Cadet Dalton Sexton. The dual fifle exhibition was performed by Cadet Blake Hogg and Cadet Braxton Adams. The single rifle exhibition was performed by Cadet Kevin Johnson.

Carrying the banner were Cadets Zee Collins and Noah Triplett. Cadets handing out candy were Sawyer Adams, Shyla Wilson, August Slone, Ivana O’Rourke, and Rayne O’Rourke. (Photos by Damaris Sexton)
