Hello to everyone from the Oven Fork Center. We’ve had a good week, got in every day. Maybe this weather is going to get better. We’ve sure had a cold, snowy winter. Everywhere you go someone is talking about the weather, but I’m glad, too, that I’m still here by the grace of God to complain or enjoy it.
June Maggard had surgery where she fell and broke her hip. We try hard not to fall and sometimes it happens anyway. They said she fell off the porch dusting a rug. We wish her a speedy recovery.
Remember the Tim Maggard family and the Harvey Creech family. There are so many grieving families and so many sick people too. Sometimes there are so many people at Mountain Comp that it’s hard to find a parking place.
We wish Kathy Ingram’s husband a full recovery.
The log cabin quilt is out of the frame.
The school children finally got in a full week of school. I would say the parents are happy about that. Kids are so full of energy. I wish I had half of their energy. I could do a lot.
Our trip to Norton, Va., was fun as always. Can’t wait until the next one.
There’s not much news this week, but we’ll get back next week. In the meantime, try to stay warm and in an upright position. That’s all from the Oven Fork Center.
