Jury says early baby in danger from pair

A woman and a man are named in indictments by the Letcher County Grand Jury charging them with endangering their two-weekold premature baby.

The grand jury says Tabitha M. Clevinger and Kenneth Wayne Sexton, both of 84 Stinking Branch, Thornton, consumed one or more controlled substances, creating a substantial danger of death or physical injury to the infant on April 10, 2009. The grand jury charges the two with being unable to provide even the most basic of care to the baby.

The couple are accused of endangering the welfare of a minor, public intoxication, and illegal possession of a controlled substance (hydrocodone).

Clevinger is also charged with promoting contraband in the Letcher County Jail.
