Kela Tolliver wins pageant

Kela Janay Tolliver of Jenkins is the new Miss Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College. The scholarship pageant was held Feb. 9 in the Edsel Godbey Appalachian Center at Cumberland. She is a sophomore at SKCTC’s Whitesburg campus.

First runnerup is Wanda Jeanene Lockaby of Cumberland, and Linefork resident Brianna Danielle Cornett is second runnerup. The Miss Congeniality Award went to Sabrina Taylor Roberts of Loyall.

Tolliver, the daughter of Keith and Patricia Tolliver, was awarded a scholarship for one semester at Southeast. Tolliver will represent the college during the Kentucky Mountain Laurel Festival slated for May in Pineville. She is employeed by The Mountain Eagle.
