Kendall Boggs marks 65th birthday

Big Cowan

A little bird flew by and told me that Kendall Boggs turned 65 on Oct. 26. I hope you had a good day, and a late happy birthday wish to you. Nice new wheels you are driving.

Little trick-or-treaters were out Oct. 30, and we had over 30 visit us.

Thula Ison is out of the hospital and back home at Blackey. She still needs our prayers.

My niece, Pam, is still here from Arkansas, visiting all of her relatives.

The trees are just beautiful this time of year. It won’t be long until the snow will start falling. I’m not sure if I am ready for that yet.

We had some of the cutest trick-or-treaters this year — pretty witches, cheerleaders, soldiers, vampires, puppets, elephants, transformers, Spidermen, pixies, fairies, a baby cow, a baby kangaroo, skeletons, and kids with blue hair, black and red hair, white hair, blond hair, orange hair and red hair. None of them were really scary and all seem to have a good time.

We were able to sit outside for awhile, but moved inside when it got cooler. Melinda Daniel stayed outside and finished passing out candy.

Happy anniversary Nov. 3 to Arlen and Marvin Taylor, Sr.

My aunt and uncle, Irene and Eugene Day, and my husband and I were going to make a trip to Indiana next week to see Billy Ray Maggard, but the plans got changed. They said they are not really able to travel anyway.

Bill and Agnes Maggard, Audrey and Charles Hammonds, Burdeen Gilley, Charles and Shirley Day, Barbara Ann Boggs, Mary Ann Maggard, Mary Lou Fields, Hazel and Earl Rayburn and Michael, all of my relatives, neighbors and friends are in need of our prayers.

Also, Hagar Trent has had some problems with his legs. Paige Brown has been very sick and missed a few days of school. Also, pray for Arlene and Marvin Taylor.

Hello to all The Mountain

Eagle
readers. I have so many comments from people who live away from here. They said it is their way of keeping up with back home. Not just my column, but also the other writers.

Shelby Bockover called the other day and asked if I knew Bob Day from Little Cowan, who lives in Indiana. I don’t know him, but some of the other writers might. If you do, you might want to give her a call.

Well folks, that’s all for now. Have a good week, and attend the church of your choice. May God bless each and every one of you, and keep my husband and me in your prayers.
