Kendall Ray Boggs dies

Funeral services for Kendall Ray Boggs, 74, were held August 17 at Kings Chapel Church. Burial was in the Boggs family cemetery at Cowan.

A son of the late Lonzo and Essie Boggs of Cowan, he died August 15 at his residence at Cowan.

Mr. Boggs was a retired coal miner of more than 30 years.

Surviving are two daughters, Shannon Trent and husband Scott and Tabitha Lewis and husband Norman; a sister, Meledia Ison; a brother, Cassel Boggs; three grandchildren, Kendra Collins and husband Johnny, Allison Cantrell and husband Michael, and Lakota Lewis; and two great-grandchildren, Paisley Rae Collins and Keaton Cantrell.

Mr. Boggs was preceded in death by two sisters, Cleta Boggs and Geneva Shepherd.
