Kentucky Homeplace opens new Letcher County Office

Devin Potter has been named the Letcher County community health worker for Kentucky Homeplace. She will see clients Monday through Friday at Kentucky Homeplace’s new office at 115 East Main Street in Whitesburg.

Kentucky Homeplace services are free of charge and emphasize health care coordination and coaching. Potter will provide support and assistance to help clients connect with local programs and services, access prescription assistance, heating assistance, and transportation to medical appointments. Education is available to anyone wanting to lead a healthier lifestyle or improve management of conditions like diabetes, health disease, high blood pressure and COPD.

Potter has a decade of experience as a certified nurse aide. She said knowledge gained in this line of work will help her assist people in navigating the health care system. She also said her years of involvement in the community will be a plus.

A native of Mayking and a graduate of Whitesburg High School, Potter is the daughter of Lindsay Boggs and Connie Adams.
