Kermit Eldridge, 76, of Colson, died June 3 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.
A son of the late Dishmon and Sally Couch Eldridge, he was the widower of Helen Eldridge, and later married Sylvia Roland Stonic Eldridge, who survives him. He was the father of the late Cleda Fay Eldridge.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Phyllis Sue Sexton and husband Lester, Thornton; a son, Dana Keith Eldridge, Colson; two brothers, Grant Eldridge, Jeremiah, and Varon Eldridge, Blackey; two sisters, Nellie Slone and Maxie Hampton, both of Isom; a granddaughter, Margaret Faye Eldridge of Whitesburg; and a greatgrandson, Avery, of Whitesburg.
Funeral services were held June 5 at the Aggie Brown homeplace. Burial was in Bates Cemetery at Colson.
Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
