Hello everyone. I hope all of you had a good week. School started Monday and most of the kids are excited. I hope the teachers are ready for them. The kids will probably have a lot of stories to tell about summer break.
Paige Brown is in the first grade. She likes to come to my house to sit around and talk, and I enjoy her company.
My sister, Kathy Wolfe, will be 57 on Aug. 12. I hope she has a good one. She is doing much better health-wise. Thanks for your prayers She is getting close to catching up with me age-wise. Ha, ha! I love you, Kathy, and happy birthday.
The streets of Whitesburg are really looking good with all of the paving going on. It makes the inconvenience and traffic backups worthwhile in the end. The roads are much wider and the bridges are a lot better. Hats off to the paving crew and all who were involved. Thank you very much for a job well done, and I am glad that they finally paved the street behind the banks downtown. It makes it a lot better.
Several people around Whitco and other areas have been remodeling their homes, and they all look good. I especially like the little red and white house as you go down the bypass toward Whitesburg on the left, with a two-car garage and the log siding.
If anyone knows who owns the red and white house up on blocks, and if it’s for sale, call me at 633- 0439. Thanks.
My sister, Kathy, and brother-in-law, Eddie, saw Jewell Crase the other day at a yard sale. I’ve been wanting to stop and see her, but I didn’t know if she would remember me.
I wanted to say hello to all on lower Cowan, especially Teresa Jones, Jewell Crase, and her daughter Paula, Diana Gilley and her family, Loreva Day Fields, Allen and Erica Sturgill and their baby, Mrs. Ella Preston, Jack and Carolyn Cornett, Sue Banks and her husband, and all the others who live down that way.
Well, there’s not much going on this week. I hope everyone has a good week. Pray for someone, attend the church of your choice, and be good to one another. Life is too short.
