Kingscreek seniors visit Pikeville

Hello again.

Sorry I’ve not written for a week or so. Been too busy trying to find a place to move to. Houses are hard to find, especially in my price range. On a fixed income you can’t pay $500 plus deposits and all.

Finally I found one, now comes the packing, cleaning and moving itself.

The center is going along fine. We are keeping busy. Tuesday we quilt, and last Thursday we went shopping at Pikeville.

On this trip were Cathy Ingram driving the van with Faye Herron, Eulah Miller, Loreva Fields, Margie Sturgill, Susie Williams, Jona Fields, Harold Day, Judy Eldridge and me. In the Jeep with Barbara Eldridge were Mae Boggs, and Brenda Fields.

We went to Super Walmart, Big Lots, the Dollar Tree and had a great lunch at Steak ‘n Shake.

Some of us laughed until we cried at some of the foolish things we have done. Believe me, we are all guilty of some crazy behavior.

If you like to talk, laugh, quilt, play cards, shop or any other good, clean fun, come visit us at the center. Call Cathy Ingram at 633- 7289 and get the information. We would love to see you.

With all the festivals going on, there is fun everywhere you look.

Happy birthday to Steve A. Fields and happy anniversary to Steve A. and Jona Fields. He had the good sense to marry my sister Jona on his birthday, Sept. 12, so he wouldn’t forget it.

I need to get this to The Eagle so it can be printed.

Take care of yourself and your family. Tell those you love that you do. The words are nice to hear sometimes.

Until next week, keep on keeping on.
