Kopper Glo Mining last week laid off miners it hired when it took over Blackjewel mining operations from bankruptcy, saying they will be laid off until at least December 26.
Blackjewel is applying to amend permits for several mining operations in the Partridge area and change the operator to Inmet Mining LLC.
Inmet, with an office address in Knoxville, Tenn., is a Delaware company that lists its members as Keith Dyke, Hunter Hobson, Jason Prater and Industrial Minerals Group LLC.
Dyke is former president of Corsa Coal Corp. and of Kopper Glo Fuels Inc. Hobson is the current president, Central Appalachia, for Corsa Coal Corp. Prater is vice president and controller of Kopper Glo, according to his LinkedIn page.
Industrial Minerals Group is another Delaware Limited Liability Company with an address in Houston, Texas, whose members are Dyke, Hobson, Corbin J. Robertson III, and BHJ Investments L.P.
Robertson is CEO of Western Pocahontas Properties LP, and director of a number of private equity firms and hedge funds. BHJ Investments has the same address in Houston as Industrial Minerals Group and Robertson’s Quintana Resources Capital.
