The 2014 Boyle County Fair will be May 26-31 and its pulling series will be broadcast nationally on NBC Sports.
The Boyle County Fair and The Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series have announced that the NBC Sports Network will be filming the BOB Series pull in Danville, during the Boyle County Fair.
“We have been working for some time on getting national television coverage for our pull, and thanks to the BOB Series, we have secured a filming date for our pull,” said Boyle County Fair President Ryan Owens. “The television coverage on NBC Sports will be broadcast to over 90 million households.”
NBC Sports is one of the fastest growing cable and satellite channels in the nation. The network was created to go head-to-head with ESPN, and later this year, many NASCAR events will be seen on NBC Sports.
“Pulling in Danville has a long tradition, and we hope to showcase not just the pulling action, but to include footage of the fair, as well showcasing to the world the city of Danville,” said BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell. “ The pull on Saturday night, May 31, will feature six of the best classes of pulling the BOB Series has to offer, and we know that fans will love the show, as will the millions of viewers.”
“ Friday and Saturday night’s 2014 Truck and Tractor Pull will be the seventh Bluegrass Nationals held exclusively at Boyle County Fair, plus the semi-trucks are coming back to pull,” Owens said.
