Hello everyone. I hope you are all doing well. It’s been a very busy week.
My sister Betty Tyree and I visited Dorothy and Glen Miles on Cowan. We really enjoyed our visit, and the good peach cobbler she made for us. It’s so interesting to see all the work they do. Dorothy has made some real pretty things. She gave me a lamp she had painted. It was beautiful. I think she is going to have a sale at the extension office sometime soon.
It was good seeing Gary Bennett a few days ago. For some reason I’ve always liked that boy. I don’t know if it’s that friendly smile he always wears, or his pretty singing and guitar playing. I love your CD, Gary. Everyone needs to get one. So many pretty gospel songs on it.
I’m sure most of you know my son Larry Hatton had a bad stroke last week. He is out of the hospital and has been doing pretty well. We really appreciate all of the preachers who came and had prayer with him, my pastor Bro. John Conn and Donald Enfusse and Van Webb, Rhuford Hart, Earnest Brock, Jack Howard, and he said ‘the chaplain’ but I’m not sure who he is. I’m sure there were many more who came when I wasn’t there.
I just hope he keeps improving.
He was real bad for awhile.
I had a nice call from Iva Absher Cheatham of Stanford on Friday. We talked about our Marlowe days. She gets The Eagle and she knew all of my news. She said that her son Jack Absher is having a lot of health problems. She asked about Mable Absher and Shirley and Carfa Niece. She is going to try and come back and visit me this summer. I enjoyed her visit last year with her children Jack and Brenda.
I went to a shower for Misty Kincer and Brandon Pennington, who will be married soon. It was a great shower with lot of people there, delicious food and lots of nice, useful gifts. I didn’t know a lot of their friends. They were all very nice.
I spent a lot of time at the hospital last week, and saw Ralph Hall. He was supposed to go home the next day. I hope he’s doing okay.
I also saw Danny Dixon and his wife. I think her mother was a patient. I hope she’s better.
My sister Louise will be having a birthday April 30.
So many people have the flu and have a hard time getting over it. Mine lasted three weeks
May God bless all of you, and try to be in church somewhere this week. I sure am enjoying my church. It’s going good and growing.
