Larry Van Hatton dies at 63



Larry Van Hatton, 63, died March 12 at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Ind.

A son of Norma Jean Hatton of Dupont, Ind., and the late James Monroe “Mutt” Hatton, he was the pastor of the Shelter For the Sheep Pentecostal Church in Austin, Ind.

He was past owner and operator of Hatton’s Carpet in North Vernon, Ind.

Surviving in addition to his mother are a daughter, Tabatha Hatton of Ashland, Oh.; a son, Jerome Hatton and wife Crystal of Whitesburg; five brothers, Jamie Hatton and wife Lois of San Jacinto, Ind., Denny Hatton and wife Nancy, and Jack Hatton and wife Lynetta, all of North Vernon, Ind., Clyde Hatton and wife Susie of Scipio, Ind., and Greg Hatton and wife Barbara of Madison, Ind.; a sister, Sheryl Richardson and husband Roger of Paris Crossing, Ind.; and five grandchildren, Jacob Williams, Elijah Hatton, Makala Spencer, Preston Hatton and Cooper Hatton.

Funeral services were held March 15 at the Shelter For the Sheep Pentecostal Church in Austin, Ind. Burial was in Dupont Cemetery in Dupont, Ind.
