Laura Dixon, 95, died December 30 at her home in Lexington.
She was a daughter of the late Preston and Sophia Witt Eldridge, and the widow of Paris Dixon.
Sur viving are four daughters, Linda Nichols, Glenna Gilliam, Phyllis Brookshire, and Debbie Geers; six grandchildren, Greg Nichols, Melanie Allen, April Earlym, Cassity Burke, Mandie Stringer, and Brian Brookshire; 10 great-grandchildren, Tegan Stringer, Talin Stringer, Laykin Caroline Brookshire, Palmer Kate Brookshire, Ethan Burke, Caleb Burke, Aspen Grace Allen, Parker Elizabeth Nichols, Dylan Early, and Jaxon Early.
Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Eva Dixon, Joyce Callahan, Edith Stamper, Floyd Eldridge, Columbus Eldridge, Lily Eldridge, Lottie Huff, and Boyd Eldridge.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dixon were held January 2 at Letcher Funeral Home in Whitesburg. Burial was in the Pearl wDixon Cemetery at Blackey.
