Hello everyone, hope you are all doing well. This week has gone by so fast and I’ve been staying in with allergies and haven’t really been anywhere.
My son Billy and wife Sandra and I went to the Pine Mountain Grill for breakfast the other day. There weren’t very many people there.
It was good seeing Lester Tindle there, and also Joanne and Darrell Sturgill, whom I hadn’t seen in a long time. They were looking good.
I’m missing my son Rob, who came in for a few days. I sure enjoyed his visit although I couldn’t talk as much as I would have liked to. I wasn’t sick, just messed up with my talking.
He and all his family are on their way on vacation to the beach. I know they will have a great time. They always do.
My son Astor “Red” and his family are on their way home and I know they had a great time on their vacation at the beach. They need a rest badly.
Billy and Sandra are going to the lake house this week. Larry and Linda can’t get away right now because of their jobs. They will go later.
I’m enjoying staying at home. I’d rather stay home and be lazy. I don’t like to leave home, don’t like to travel.
Everyone’s gardens seem to be doing well, but we really need some rain.
Keven and Leigh Nichols together with Michael and Jackie Hall announce the wedding celebration of their children, Arianna Leigh Nichols and Dakota Jordan Hall. The wedding will take place at 6 p.m., June 14, at Doermann Memorial Presbyterian Church in Blackey. A reception will follow.
It was good hearing from my cousin Ruby Jean Howard in Indiana. I saw your friend Faye Caudill at Parkway Pharmacy the other day, and she asked about you.
We still have a lot of sick friends. I hope they are feeling better. Pray for them.
I went to the LCCHS Choir Spring Concert at the school with my daughterin law Linda Hatton and her granddaughter Gracie Hatton, and it was so good it was amazing! My greatgrandson Beau Hatton had a bit part, and I was so proud of him. He is so talented. He played piano, guitar and drums, and also sang some pretty songs, and so did all the rest of the group who did really well.
I was surprised that more people didn’t show up. I guess they just couldn’t get away, but they missed a really good time.
I was pleased to get a call from my good friend Anna Watkins in Florida. She had been in rehab but is out and doing better.
I hope I can get out and about this week and see people and get some good news. I just wasn’t up to it this week.
Elzie Ray Hatton and Irene, I hope you are doing well and on the 19th of August you will be older. I always remember your birthday because it’s the same day as my son, Billy’s.
It’s also the month of the Hatton reunion. I really look forward to that and get to see so many from everywhere that I don’t get to see often.
I can’t wait to get back to church. I’ve had to miss some and I hate to do that.
I talked to Imogene Sexton. She said she had a bad case of poison ivy. So far it has never bothered me. I hope she gets better fast.
I haven’t heard from Dorthy Tacket and Linda Hall in awhile. I’ve not been calling much because my voice was so bad. It’s getting better and I’m glad.
We’ve got some new blacktopping on the road past my house, and it sure looks good.
I had a nice little visit with my sister, Kathleen Brock, and her husband the other day, and enjoyed it.
Hopefully I can get out more have more news next time. I know this has been boring, but nothing much has been going on.
I hope everyone has had a good week. I had a call from my son Astor. They are back from their vacation and they had a great time. Astor and Rosemary will see that everyone enjoys themselves.
May God bless all of you. Try to be in church somewhere if you are able.
