LCC senior Victoria Lumpkins, the Lady Cougars’ libero player, bumped the ball back into the air during last week’s title game as Savannah Parsons (11) backed her up. A libero player is a defensive specialist who must play on the back row and can’t attempt to block a shot or attack the ball when it is above the height of the net. The libero must also wear a different color of jersey than the rest of her teammates.
