LCCHS names top graduates

 

Letcher County Central High School has named a valedictorian and three salutatorians for the Class of 2020.

Haydon Caudill, of Jeremiah, son of Larry and Karen Caudill, was named valedictorian. He had a 4.607 grade point average, and will attend Morehead State University, where he received a Rogers Scholarship for full tuition and housing, the Valedictorian Scholarship and an Alumni Scholarship. He is majoring in biology/premed.

Salutatorians for 2020 are Trinity Adams, Madison Mason, and Logan Martin.

Adams, of Craft’s Colly, is the daughter of Anthony and Monica Adams. She had a grade point average of 4.536, and will attend the University of Kentucky. She received the Singletary Scholarship for full tuition, room and board. She is majoring in biology/preveterinarian.

Martin, of Whitesburg, is the son of Scottie and Julie Amburgey. He had a 4.536 grade point average and will attend the University of Kentucky. He received the Provost Scholarship and Stan Pigman Scholarship, and will receive full tuition and housing. He is majoring in chemical engineering.

Mason, of Camp ranch, is the daughter of Howie and Donna Mason. She had a grade point average of 4.5356, and will attend Morehead State University where she received the Alumni Scholarship. She is majoring in nursing.
