There will an organizational meeting of the Parent Nomination/Election Committee of the Letcher County Central High School SBDM Council at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 5. The meeting will be held in the library at Letcher County Central High School.
Parents of Letcher County Central High School ninth to eleventh graders and parents of Letcher County eighth graders who are pre-enrolled at Letcher County Central High School for the 2012-13 school year are invited and encouraged to attend this meeting.
The purpose of the meeting is to organize the Parent Nomination/Election Committee, which will facilitate the nomination of parent candidates for election to the LCCHS SBDM Council for the 2012-13 school year. Additionally, this committee will conduct the 2012 parent election for the council.
The election date, time, and place will be determined by the Parent Election/ Nomination Committee and announced during the meeting on the 5th. The parents elected will serve from July 1, 2012 until June 30, 2013.
