‘Legal’ moonshine still arrives

Colin Fultz and Doug Winchell, co-owners of Kentucky Mist Moonshine distillery, assembled a 100-gallon moonshine still Tuesday evening in the old KYVA Motor building in downtown Whitesburg. Scheduled to arrive soon are six 250-gallon stainless steel mash pots and two 250-gallon storage tanks. Fultz and Winchell are looking to buy fresh blackberries, raspberries and grapes to infuse into the 80-proof alcohol. They hope to open the distillery in July. (Photo by Sally Barto)
