TO MINE
Pursuant to Application No. 867-5333,
Renewal 7
In accordance with KRS 350.055, notice is hereby
given that Blue Diamond Mining, LLC, 3228 Summit Square Place, Suite 180, Lexington, Kentucky
40509, has applied for a renewal of a permit for
an underground coal mining and reclamation
operation. This operation will affect 34.0 surface
acres and underlie 2,296.90 acres and the total
area within the permit boundary will be 2,330.90
acres. The operation is located 2.3 mile southwest
of Banks in Letcher and Perry Counties.
The operation is approximately 3.4 miles southwest of KY 1103’s junction with Turkey Creek Road
and located on Turkey Creek. The nearest named
stream is Turkey Creek.
The operation is located on the Tilford USGS 7½
minute quadrangle map. The surface area to be
disturbed by this renewal is owned Kentucky River
Properties, LLC and ACIN LLC. The operation underlies land owned by Kentucky River Properties
LLC, ACIN LLC, William W Skewes, Doc Cornett,
and Mason Caudill.
The application has been filed for public inspection at the Division of Mine Reclamation and Enforcement’s Hazard Regional Office, 556 Village

Renewal
In accordance with KRS 350.55, notice is hereby
given that Deane Mining LLC, P.O. Box 4312,
Pikeville, Kentucky 41502 has applied for renewal
of a permit for a surface and auger/highwall mining
operation located 0.57 miles northwest of Deane
in Letcher County. The proposed operation will
disturb 358.0 surface acres and 125.9 acres auger/ highwall mining of which 55.8 acres underlie
surface acres and are not included in the total
acres. The total area within the permit boundary
will be 428.1 acres.
The operation is approximately 0.47 miles northwest from KY 7’s junction with KY 317 and located
on Razorblade Branch. The latitude is 37-14-20.
The longitude is 82-46-52.
The operation is located on the Mayking and Kite
U.S.G.S. 7 1/2 minute quadrangle maps. The
surface area to be disturbed is owned by Reserve
Holdings, LLC.
The application has been filed for public inspection
at the Department for Surface Mining Reclamation
and Enforcement’s Hazard Regional Office, 556
Village Lane, Hazard, Kentucky 41701. Written
comments, objections, or requests for a permit
conference must be filed with the Director, Division of Permits, 300 Sower Boulevard, Frankfort,
Kentucky 40601.
