NOTICE OF BOND RELEASE
In accordance with KRS 350.093, notice is
hereby given that Sapphire Coal Company,
1073 Riverview Street, Grundy, VA 24614 has
applied for Phase III Bond Release on Increment
No. 1 of Permit Number 867-0495, which was
last issued on December 19, 2018. Increment
No. 1 covers an area of approximately 109.51
acres located 0.5 miles north of Colson in
Letcher County.
The permit area is approximately 0.5 miles
northeast of the junction of KY Route 7 and KY
Route 1410 located 0.01 miles west of Buck
Creek.
The bond now in effect for Increment No. 1 is a
Surety Bond in the amount of sixty-nine thousand dollars ($69,000.00). The remaining bond
of sixty-nine thousand dollars ($69,000.00) is

Reclamation work performed on Increment No.
1 includes: backfilling, final grading, seeding and
