Bad weather forced the LCCHS Cougars to postpone two of their three scheduled home games last week — against district rivals Knott County Central and Jenkins — before beating southwest Virginia power (9-3) Powell Valley, 66-57 this past Saturday night, Jan. 15, at home.
The Cougars, now 8-8, visited district foe Cordia last night and then will host Perry County Central this Friday night in a rematch with the Commodores, who beat LCCHS 58-42 in the semifinals of the WYMT Classic on Jan. 8.
