Zack Yaden is the Letcher County schools winner of the Kentucky School Board Association’s annual KSBA Banner Contest. The banner will be displayed at the KSBA Annual Conference at the Galt House East in Louisville to be held January 30-Februray 1. The banners are intended to remind attendees of the primary purpose of a public school system — earning and learners. This year’s theme was Students Today, Leaders Tomorrow. The contest was among all schools in the district and judged by central office staff. The winning entry is then given back to the student along with a banner in which the artwork is then transferred. The completed artwork is then shipped to KSBA to be displayed. Zack is a senior at Letcher County Central and is the son of Pamela Collins and Greg Yaden.
