Letcher Co. grand jury charges 5



Three men are charged with failure to appear in Letcher Circuit Court in four indictments returned by the Letcher County Grand Jury.

The grand jury charges James O. Miller, 44, 10039 Coeburn Rd., Wise, Va., with bail jumping in two indictments for failure to appear on Nov. 23 for arraignment on felony counts. He is also accused of being a persistent felony offender in each indictment.

Deputy Circuit Court Clerk Sandra Wright testifi ed in both cases.

Also indicted are:

Christopher Lee Gilmore — bail jumping and being a persistent felony offender.

The grand jury says Gilmore, 38, failed to appear on Oct. 26 for final sentencing in connection with having committed a felony.

James David Warren — bail jumping and being a persistent felony offender.

Warren, 54, is accused of failing to appear on October 26 for a pre trial conference in connection of having committed a felony.

In addition, the grand jury charged two people with flagrant non support.

Rayden D. Walters, 33, 1235 Carcassonne Rd. Blackey, is charged with failing to make child support payments for two children for at least six consecutive months. Walters is also charged with being a persistent felony offender.

James Edward Sizemore II, 31, P.O. Box 15, Partridge, and 12265 Hwy. 119 S, Partridge, is accused of failing to make child support payments for three minor children for at least six consecutive months, owing $15,570.63 through Dec. 21. He is also charged with being a persistent felony offender.
