Letcher County Robinson Scholars graduate from UK

Kaleb Wade Blair and Kayla June Sexton, both of Letcher County, graduated from the University of Kentucky with doctor of pharmacy degrees. Both also earned bachelor’s degrees, Blair in human nutrition and Sexton in health sciences.

Blair is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wade Blair. Sexton is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paschel Sexton. Both are members of the first class of Robinson Scholars, and were honored by the program May 3, at a recognition ceremony at the King Alumni House on the UK campus.

The Robinson Scholars Program is a scholarship, student support, and leadership development program that serves firstgeneration college and collegebound students from 29 eastern Kentucky counties. These stu- dents demonstrate the potential to succeed, but may encounter economic or cultural obstacles in completing four-year college degrees. The Robinson Scholars Program provides its scholars with support services and scholarship resources that help enable them to complete bachelor’s degrees at UK.
