A Whitesburg woman remains in an Ohio jail after police found a large quantity of pills in her possession.
Kathy McPherson, 41, was arrested Dec. 16 in Piqua, Ohio and charged with two counts of drug possession, one count of following too close to another vehicle and driving without a license.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers stopped McPherson for the traffic violation on I-75 near State Route 41. Inside the vehicle a drug dog located a cardboard box containing more than 500 pain pills, including 355 Xanax tablets.
Police say McPherson was returning to Kentucky from Michigan at the time of the traffic stop.
McPherson is being in the Miami County Jail. Bond is set at $20,000.
