Letcher native dies in Michigan




Funeral services for Letcher County native Cynthia Boatright Campbell, 97,were held in Michigan last week.

Mrs. Campbell died August 5 at Tender Care Rehab Center in Taylor, Michigan. She was buried August 8 in Michigan Memorial Park at Flat Rock, Mich.

Born at UZ to the late Clinton and Doshie Adams Boatright, she was the widow of Elbert D. Campbell and mother of the late Lenora (Franklin D.) Campbell.

Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by five sisters, Cora Boatright, Elizabeth Frazier Kuhn, Lona Thacker, Gladys Boatwright, and Ocie Miles; an infant brother, John Dishman; and a granddaughter, Rebecca Widrig.

Surviving are daughters Wilma Jean Ison Fisher and Lorene Profitt and her husband Denver, and son Jim Campbell and his wife Fern. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
