Cody Sexton is a native of Letcher County who now resides in the Midwest with his wife, Ashley Potter Sexton, and son. He is the oldest child of Susanna Back Sexton and Phillip Sexton of Blackey, and is a 2003 graduate of Letcher High School.
As a published writer, his work has been featured at The Indie View, Writers Shed Stories, The Diverse Perspective, Detrius, and he is also a regular contributor to As It Ought To Be magazine. In addition, he is the book critic and lead writer for the literary website athinsliceofanxiety.com, where he chronicles his lifelong obsession with the written word.
He has won several blogging awards such as the Versatile Blogger Award, the Sunshine Blogger Award, the Mystery Blogger Award, and a Blogger Recognition Award. He is a nominee for 2020’s Best of the Net for his pioneering essay The Body of Shirley Ann Sexton.
Through his ever-growing body of work, his one aim has always been to deliver bold political ideas and vital stories to all walks of life and to help arm the dreamers to demand the impossible.
