Hubert Eldridge of Elk Creek will be taking care of the mowing and upkeep of the Pearl Dixon Cemetery at Blackey again this year. He has taken care of this for many years now and done a great job, but with the higher gas prices and hiring someone to help him he would appreciate any donations from people who have loved ones buried in the cemetery. You can send donations to Hubert Eldridge, 88 Mushroom Dr., Blackey, KY 41804. The phone number is 606-633-2444.
My parents, Pnut and Jean Blair of Elk Creek, went to London last week. Mom had a doctor’s appointment and before they went they went by and visited with my mom’s uncle Dorse Back and his wife Sal. They recently lost one of their sons, P.G. Back. They had a really nice visit.
Tara Couch of Linefork has been in the hospital again. She is having problems with one of her kidneys. She is now home now and I wish her the best.
Happy birthday to Rosemary Rowe of Caudill’s Branch. It was on Feb. 29.
Congratulations to Julie Lindsey and Roger Dumas of Ohio on the birth of their baby girl. Jaylynn Alexandra was born on Feb. 14. She weighed eight pound, seven ounces. The grandfather is Joe Lindsey of Somerset, and the great-grandparents are Nancy Perkins and Wayne and Erin Blair, also of Somerset. Joe, Nancy, and Wayne are formerly from Blackey. I saw a picture of Jaylynn and she is a beautiful baby. Joe also has a younger daughter, Kaity.
I found out Saturday that Camryn Roark of Carcassonne was also in the hospital with RSV. She is the daughter of Adam and Dee Roark, and the granddaughter of Warren and Gail Roark, also of
