Libraries plan events



Events to be held at the Letcher County Public Libraries include:

• Children’s programming at the Harry M. Caudill Memorial Library in Whitesburg on Fridays at 11 a.m., at the Jenkins Public Library on Thursdays at 11 a.m., and at the Lillian Webb Memorial Library in Neon on Wednesday at 2 p.m.

• Computer classes at the Harry M. Caudill Library on Tuesdays at 4 p.m. The class schedule includes Internet on Feb. 14, job searching on Feb. 21 and Internet on Feb. 28.

• Special programs are the film “Breaking Dawn” on Feb. 14 with a Valentine’s celebration of Bella and Edward’s wedding at the Harry M. Caudill Library, and a puppet show featuring Dr. Seuss at McRoberts Elementary School at 1 p.m. on March 1.

• Book clubs at 12 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month at the Harry M. Caudill Library, and at 6 p.m. on the last Wednesday of the month at the Blackey Public Library. Copies of the books to be discussed are distributed three weeks before the book club meets.

• Movie nights from 5 to 7 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month at the Harry M. Caudill Library, and from 6 to 8 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month at the Lillian Webb Memorial Library.
