Pictured at top left is Lincoln County Property Valuation Administrator David Gambrel, who on Monday presented Letcher PVA Randy Hall with a picture of Gambrel’s great-great-greatgrandfather, David M. “Uncle Dave” Maggard (right). The picture will be placed in the PVA’s office in the Letcher County Courthouse. Maggard was the Letcher County property assessor from 1896 until 1900. He lived to be 94. Gambrel’s mother, Lavenia Wells Ham, was born in Kingscreek and now lives in Lincoln County.
