Hello everyone, from the Ovenfork Center.
Well, the month of November came and went and it will soon be time for Santa. We hope everyone had a very happy Thanksgiving.
We had our monthly potluck on Nov. 12. We had some delicious Thanksgiving food and everyone did a great job on cooking as they always do.
The ladies have finished a Bonnet Girl quilt and have another one put in. We have enjoyed playing “Bingocize” and the ladies play their card game, Phase 10.
We have a new senior. Her name is Ann. We are glad she came to socialize and quilt with us.
It’s always nice to have new people come to be with the seniors. Everyone over 60 is always welcome. We would be glad to have you join us.
Our Star Senior for the month of November was Linda Curry. She has been coming to the center for 12 years. She participates regularly at the center, and we are happy to have her.
Our next potluck will be Dec. 9. Bring a covered dish and join us. We have some gospel singers who always do a good job.
The ladies will be going shopping on Dec. 4 to Norton, weather permitting.
We have a senior who hasn’t been able to be with us for awhile because of heath reasons. We hope you get to feeling better soon, John.
We want to send prayers to all the sick in our neighborhood and everywhere else, and our hearts go out to those who have lost loved ones.
May God bless everyone.
