Funeral services for Lindsey Mae Sexton, 78, of Jenkins, were held December 19 at Carty Funeral Home in Jenkins. Burial was in the Fleming family cemetery.
A daughter of the late Dewey Sturgill, Sr. and Elsie Cooper Sturgill and the widow of Kenneth Sexton, she died December 15 at Pikeville Medical Center. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Gail Kiser; three brothers, Martin Sturgill, Dewey Sturgill, Jr. and Jerry Douglas Sturgill; three sisters, Jeanette Reed, Lois Mills and Barbara Damron; and a son-in-law, Johnny Hampton, Sr.
Mrs. Sexton was a member of the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Debra Jean Hampton and Jerry Mullins of Bean Station, Tenn.; two sons, Michael Ray Sexton and Delbert Kiser and wife Mindy, all of Jenkins; a brother, Terry Sturgill and wife Phyllis of Vine Grove; two sisters, Sherry Smith and husband Albert of Jenkins, and Dee Smith and wife Leighton of Cornith; seven grandchildren, John Hampton, Lindsey Delbretta Salyers, Jordan Kiser, Mandy Kiser, Julie Grace Kiser, Albert “Bo” Smith and Stephen Salyers; and three great-grandchildren, Nathan Ross, Isaiah Kiser and Peyton Salyers.
