2012 Mountain Heritage Livestock Champion Market Lamb — Ricky Meade is pictured with his lamb ‘Tink’. He is a student at Letcher Middle School. The lamb was sold to Community Trust Bank and Johnny Wheels in the sale of champions.
The 4-H Livestock Show was held Sept. 29 at the Letcher County Extension Office.
The winners of the show were Ricky Meade with his lamb Tink, Trevor Adams with his goats TCA Agrestic Swag, Little D, and EWP Geraldine, Katelyn Baker with her goat Sarge, Logan Dollarhyde in the Reserve Poultry competition, and Terry Wolfe with Best in Show rabbit.
2012 Mountain Heritage Livestock Reserve Champion— Katelyn Back is pictured with her goat ‘Sarge’. She is a student at Letcher County Central School. The goat was sold to Dry Fork Auto Sales, Isom Community Pharmacy and Drill Still in the sale of champions.
Trevor Adams was the champion with two goats at the Mountain Heritage Livestock show, a commercial doe, ‘TCA Agrestic Swag’, and a market wether, ‘Little D’ which was sold to Parkway Pharmacy, Edison G. Banks II and Backwood Farms in the sale of champions. Adams is a student at Lincoln Memorial College. He is also the owner of the champion breeding goat, ‘EWP Geraldine’.
