Lorraine Kiser dies at 73


Funeral services for Lorraine Kiser, 73, were held October 6 at Everidge Funeral Home. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.

A daughter of the late Charles Edward McKenzie and Opal Jane Fugett, she was born in Louisa. She died October 3 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Hospital.

Ms. Kiser had been with her companion, Fred Holliday, for more than 30 years. She enjoyed cleaning and traveling and was an avid NASCAR and University of Kentucky fan.

Surviving are her fiancé, Fred Holliday of Whitesburg; two sons, Gary Kiser of Neon and Roy Kiser of Louisa; a brother, Jerry McKenzie of Louisa; two sisters, Wanda Morrow and Faye Hardin, both of Louisa; four grandchildren, Shantayia, Chezrai, Gary Allen II and Dustin; and two great-grandchildren, Shaddix and Oaklynn Annalise.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Kiser, and a brother, Jimmy McKenzie.
