Louvenia Tolliver dies at 94

Funeral services for Louvenia “Lou” Tolliver, 94, were held June 22 at Everidge Funeral Home. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.

A daughter of the late Granville and Ritter Quillen Hall, she was born at Halo. She died June 19 at her residence in Jackhorn.

Mrs. Tolliver was the widow of Quinton Daniel Tolliver. She enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower garden and was a member of the Little Dove Old Regular Baptist Church at Sassafras.

Surviving are a daughter, Wanda Lemaster of Jackhorn; three sons, John E. Branham and wife Linda and Robert Tolliver and wife Faye, all of Rutledge, Tenn., and Ronnie Tolliver and wife Susie of Corbin; two brothers, Ishmal Hall of Manassas, Va., and McKinley Hall of Pikeville; 10 grandchildren, Kim, Teresa, Christie, Jarrod, Darrin, Jeff, Ryan, Megan, Quinton and Jason; and seven great-grandchildren, Ashlea, Jon, Braxton, Morgan, Madison, Aaron and Hope.

Mrs. Tolliver was preceded in death by two sons, Branham and Clinton Tolliver; three great-grandchildren, Lynzi, Gabriel and Aria; four sisters, Beatrice Johnson, Euretta Bentley, Mero Burchett and Ethyl Tolliver; a son-in-law, Gary Lemaster, and a daughterin law, Joyce Tolliver; and three brothers, M.C., C.B. and Tillisman.
