Lucky 7 Speedway racing results




In racing this past weekend at Lucky 7 Speedway, Brandon Mason took the win in the $1,200-to-win Open Wheel Modified Division. Anthony ‘Anton’ Adams finished second, Josh Watts, third, and Christian Baker fourth. Baker won $100 for being in third on the 1fifth lap, which was sponsored by Watts Law Office. Fifth place went to Oscar Profitt, sixth to David Pack, seventh to Jacob Ross, and eighth to Josh Fields.

Oscar McCown made it back to the winner’s circle in the Limited Late Models, with Tyler King coming in second, and Mark Sturgill third. Fourth went to Jackie Fields, fifth to Freddie Brock, sixth to Danny Bates Jr., seventh to Brian Wagner, and eighth to Roy Mullins.

A father and son team, Tim Mason and Andy Mason, raced for the win in the bomber race. Tim Mason took the checkered flag, while Andy was second. Elbert Lee ended up third, and Colby Bush took fourth. Last week’s winner, Jason Hall, and a couple other cars had motor trouble before the feature race, and didn’t start the race.

It was a good night for the Henson family in the 4-stock division with D.I. Henson taking the checkered flag, John Henson getting second, and Shawn Owsley getting third. Fourth went to Scott Watts, fifth to Aaron Halcomb, and sixth to Chris Creech.

The 4 cylinder modified winner was Pat Morris, with Josh Back coming in second and third going to William Gross.

On July 31, the 50 Lap Pac Man Summer Sizzler will be run with a $10,500 purse for late models.

Drivers planning to race include Jackie Boggs, Victor Lee, Chris Combs, and D.J. Wells.

Racers in Christ will be there with Bibles, a Bounce House, Lightups, and more for children. They will also have their 2010 shirts for sale and will donate $2 from every shirt sold in July to flood relief plus 10 percent of anything sold at their booth.
