Wade Quillen, an employee with Letcher County Public Schools, spray painted Cougar paw prints with the help of a stencil last week on the road leading to Letcher County Central High School at Ermine. Cougar paw prints were painted on the road when the school first opened, but had since faded away. The new prints are in place in time for the Letcher County Central football team’s home opener Friday against Montgomery County.
