Man, 68, dies in fire at Jeremiah home

Funeral services were held Monday for a 68-yearold Jeremiah man who died last week in a house fire.

Kentucky State Police said Lindsey Mack Blair, of Tooter Branch Road, was found dead in his home on Jan. 7 after the fire was brought under control.

Police said the fire appears to be accidental and the incident remains under investigation by KSP Detective Gary Sandlin and KSP Arson Investigator James Burnett.

A son of the late Fred and Callie Adams Blair, he was married to Sandra Lyn Murphy Blair.

In addition to his wife, Blair is survived by three sons, Sherman Blair of Jeremiah, Raymond Blair of Somerset, and Mack Fred Blair of Dauphus; three daughters, Melody Morton of Jeremiah, Callie Blair of Roxana, and Naomi Blair of Mayking; two brothers, Odell Blair of Springsboro, Ohio, and Harold Blair of Dayton, Ohio; and five grandchildren.

Blair was preceded in death by four brothers, J.T. Blair, S.T. Blair, Landon Blair, and Charles Blair; and a sister, Linda Calhoun.

Burial was in the Fred Blair Cemetery in Jeremiah.

Letcher Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
