Man held in death of baby daughter

RICHMOND, Ky.

Authorities say a Richmond man has been arrested and charged with first-degree criminal abuse for choking his 1-yearold daughter.

Richmond police say they arrested 23-year-old Jeremiah Caleb Blair last week after two months of investigating allegations that he abused his daughter.

Police say the investigation began when the infant was brought to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Berea in January with bruises on her neck as well as injuries to her head area.

Authorities say that prior to the hospital visit the child had spent the night with Blair, her noncustodial parent.

Blair is being held in the Madison County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
