Man’s death was natural, coroner says

An Eolia man died of natural causes inside a convenience store bathroom early Sunday morning, said Letcher County Coroner Perry Fowler.

Homer T. Sharp was pronounced dead at 5:45 a.m. on July 3 at the Ermine Double Kwik.

Sharp, who was in his early 30s, suffered from a health condition that results in death for most victims before they are teenagers, Fowler said.

Fowler listed cause of Sharp’s death as aspiration and exsanguination.

Funeral arrangements for Sharp were still pending at press time.
