Many are visiting from out of town

Go to our Facebook page for announcements and pictures posted after each event, www.facebook.com/ pages/Hemphill-Community Center.

We are having lots of out-of-town visitors. We are so happy about that. We are also happy for the local support and participation. Thanks for your continued support of our efforts through donations of time, talent, and treasure. You know if I’m referring to you.

You need to come and hang out with us when you can. We now have Wifi now so kids and adults are better satisfied not being cut off from their electronic devices. We, also have a playground and a walking track so bring the whole family and visit us.

We are trying to create a free space where you can feel accepted no matter what our human differences are. That is never as easy as it should be but we are getting there. Boy do we have some stories on that score but it’s a fight we believe is well worth the effort.

It’s a hate-free zone and you are invited! Y’all come!

Weekly Quote: It is no stranger for an atheist to live virtuously than it is strange for a Christian to live criminally. We see the latter sort of monster all the time, so why should we think the former is impossible? Pierre Bayle
