Margaret Collier dies at 78

Funeral services for Margaret Fisher Collier, 78, of Eolia, were held July 2 at Letcher Funeral Home. Burial was in the Bolling Cemetery in Pound, Va.

A daughter of the late Mack and Myrtle Shepherd Fisher, she died June 29 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

She was a member of the Franks Creek Independent Baptist Church for more than 59 years, and taught Sunday School and was the church pianist. She was a court reporter for the Letcher Circuit Court for more than 33 years.

Surviving are her husband, Bill Collier; a daughter, Kim Collier Craft and husband Jimmy of Eolia; a brother, Joe Fisher of Altoona, Fla.; two grandchildren, Rebecca LeAnn Cook and husband Calviston, and James “Trey” Wiley Craft III; and two friends, Ethel “Sissy” Sturgill and Elisa Cook.
